LT1013D: positive VCC different with negitive VCC

Hi Team,

I have an existing disign using LT1013DIDR, current power supply of LT1013DIDR is +5V to GND, the issue is when input is 0V, output is not 0V.

I plan to change VCC- pin to negitive voltage, but there is no -5V on the board, only -12V, also don't have +12V.

Queston is can I use +5V for VCC+, and -12V for VCC-?

Yes. The LT1013D has no GND pin and does not know where GND would be; you can use any supply voltages as long as the sum of both is no more than 44 V.

How large is the load on the output? It might be possible to use an opamp with stronger rail-to-rail outputs like the TLV2387 or OPA2196.

Hey Allen,

I agree with Clemens. We specify the device at +/15V and below totaling 30V for the spec table. You can use asymmetrical supplies as you mentioned in your design as long as you don't exceed the abs max supply voltage.
