INA232: Linux Driver for INA232

I have a INA232 device that I need to find a device driver for an embedded Linux application.

I noticed that the driver ina2xx.c in the standard linux distribution supports the INA231 but does not enumerate the ina232. It appears that they are very similar devices with a few notable differences (precision and range.)

Is there a driver that explicitly supports the ina232? Are there any plans to incorporate the ina232 into the standard distribution?

If the registers of the INA232 and INA231 are similar enough, then you can simply pretend that you have an INA231.

You have to find someone to change the driver. (Whom are you paying to support the embedded distribution that you're using?)

The register sets of the two devices are somewhat limited and it appears that the INA231 is truly a subset of the INA232. As long as I can live with the INA231 functionality, using the INA231 driver should work.

Given the limited nature of the devices, I could see the driver being updated in probably 20-50 lines of code.

In addition to the notes above, we do also have the INA232 available in SysConfig, which helps generate C code based on your desired configuration settings, and also has convenient functions for processing register data.
