INA238: Can we neglect some protection or alert for INA238?

Hi team,

My customer has one question regarding INA238, they want the alert pin only report the overcurrent signal, not including temperature limit, over or under voltage, etc...

Is it possible?

    Hello Xiaoying,

    Yes, this is possible. The INA228 is designed so that the ALERT only happens when the value in the limit register is exceeded. Since all limit registers are set by default to maximum/minimum values, those limits cannot be exceeded, and no ALERTs will take place. To enable an alert, adjust the limit value to something other than the default value.
