LM331: V to F conversion help

Part Number: LM331

Team,

I have a max 10V amplitude sinusoidal signal which should be converted to DC pulse output. My AC signal will vary in amplitude and this has to be converted to frequency dependent pulse. A v to f converter using LM331, will it work? Also how should this AC input be fed to the IC? Any other suggestions on how to achieve this?

  • Hi JumboDumbo,

The LM331 may work for the V-to-F conversion. What are the input frequency range and design requirements?

The best way is to put it on the breadboard and check out the functionalities, since this is dip IC. We have a model that may help to simulate the scenario, but the simulated behaviors are very limited.

If you have other questions, please let me know.

    Best,

    Raymond
