VCA2611 Variable gain amplifier.

Hi,

The VCA2611 data-sheet mentions a LNP gain of max 25dB and VCA + diff. PGA gain separately.

Q - Does it mean that for LNP gain of 25dB (LNP gain strap pins 1,2 and 3 shorted) and VCA+diff.PGA gain of 24dB (VCA_cntl pin at 3V and MGS 1,2,3 pins set 000) with VCA_in_sel pin =LOW (i.e no external VCA input) the gain for the whole block is (25+24)dB ??

I want to confirm this, because i want my minimum gain offered to be around 20 dB.In that case if the gain of the complete block is indeed (25+24)dB,then i need to bypass the LNP or set it to a minimum gain (viz. 5dB).

Data-sheet does mention both gains separately, but I want to confirm it ,just to be sure.Pardon me for my ignorance.

Kindly help.

-Nilesh.
