INA199: application issue

Hi team,

ASUS now want to use the INA199A3DCKR material and connect the Supply Voltage, IN+, and IN– pins to DC_IN 24V. Calculated based on a tolerance of ±5%, the voltage will reach 25.2V. However, the maximum voltage of

the Supply Voltage, VIN+, and VIN– pins in the datasheet is +26V, is there any risk in using it like this?

    As shown in section 6.5, the common-mode input range goes up to 26 V, so this is not a problem.

    Thanks for the question and using the E2E forum.

    Like Clemens points out, the INA199 is designed to work, and is specified, up to a common-mode and power supply voltage of 26V. So no, there's no risk with using the device up to the 25.2V your system reaches (as long as it doesn't exceed the 26V).

    Is there any device with similar structure and functions as INA199A3DCKR, but with higher voltage resistance than INA199A3DCKR?

    Comi,

    We have a lot of devices that can withstand a common-mode voltage >26V. For your convenience, I've filtered to those devices here. This table is also filtered down to similar specifications as the INA199, including offset (150uV), gain error (1.5%), quiescent current (100uA).

    Depending on your system requirements, I suggest looking at the INA186, INA190, and/or INA191.
