I'd like to power the opamp with +22V/-5V power supply. The OPAx992 (and similar) specify the power supply to ±20V or to 40V. In my case the input and output are in the range from -1V to about 18V (I need to use it as a follower and maybe also as a 2-4 gain amplifier for positive signals). The datasheet only specifies that (V+) – (V–) should be less than 40V (which is true in this case) but doesn't mention other details about asymmetric power. Are there some other downsides of using it like this.
