INA241A: INA241: What is the sense of the 10pin VSSOP case

Part Number: INA241A

The INA241A is available in a 8pin VSSOP with one NC pin and also available in a 10pin VSSOP with 3 NC pins.
So both have 7 active pins. Why is there the 10pin case which has only additional NC pins?

  • Hello Ernst,

This is to allow for more creepage in case the INA241 inputs are at 100V and the creepage for you application is not enough it give the ability to have more space between higher voltage pins (inputs) and the lower voltage pins.  If that is not a concern you can use the 8 pin VSSOP option.
