TLV272: TLV272IDRG4 vs TLV272IDR

Hi,

We have been using TLV272IDRG4 in our product, but it seems TLV272IDRG4 has reached EOL.

We are planning to go ahead with TLV272IDR now since it seems to be a Drop-In alternative.

Can you please help us understand how TLV272IDR & TLV272IDRG4 differ from each other since, they seem to be part of the same device family and all the electrical, and package parameters matching with each other.

G4 indicates "green", but all devices have been green for a long time. They are identical.

okay, got it, can you please tell me more along the lines, of why is TLV272IDRG4 approaching EOL whereas TLV272IDR is active despite being identical in all aspects?
