The Circuit below is derived directly from the OPAx202 SPICE model download and running in PSPICE. The issue is extremely strange, and other TI Opamp SPICE Models do not exhibit this behavior. In fact I have never seen this kind of behavior before, and I kinda old and been around this a long time.
If you set R2 to 14.6K (or below) and do a 10 or 20mSec transient sim, it runs fine, and completes within a second or two.
BUT if you set it to 14.7K (or above) it takes a MINUTE to run, and my CPU fan comes on full speed.
Now here's the kicker....you can set R1 to a lower value (i.e. more gain, as if increasing R2) and it runs normally and completes within a second or two.
My request is, can someone run this same thing in TINA tor TI-PSPICE and tell me if this behavior is present?
Or....do the authors of the model already know the cause?
Thaks in advance
