LM7341: LM7341 related issues

Part Number: LM7341

hi,

The schematic diagram is shown in the following figure. The maximum input voltage of the pin is 14.7V. If the VCC3 voltage is too high, will the operational amplifier burn out? For the same output current, reducing the input voltage requires increasing the R10 resistance value. The R10 resistance value should not be too large, which will increase power consumption and may also cause the resistance to burn out. Is there a good solution? Is there a good improvement plan for the circuit diagram?

Thanks!

  • Hi Jeno,

Could you clarify what the negative supply voltage is? And how high do you expect VCC3 to be? The schematic is labeled 15V but is it expected to go higher?

LM7341 does not have short-circuit protection, so prolonged use at high output current can cause the device to overheat and damage itself.

    Regards,
    Ashley
