LM331: Help simulating LM331 in PSpice

Hi everyone, I am not able to simulate LM331 in PSpice. I have the .olb library. However, when I try to simulate it I get the following error message: ''WARNING(0RNET-1119): The part/device cannot be simulated. No PSpiceTemplate found on U1, ignoring thisPart/device from simulation netlist.''. Can anybody help me?

Hi Alejandro,

There is no official released LM331 spice model from TI. If you tell me what you want to do, I may be able to generate a pseudo simulation behavior for the part.

Enclosed is one that was posted sometimes ago, and you may use it as a reference. We do not support LTSpice simulator, and we may use Tina to generate the similar one.

Please let me know your design requirements, if you want to generate an equivalent Tina behavior model.

Good morning Raymond,

First of all thank you for your early reply. We will like a pseudo simulation for us to implement it on LTSpice.

On our design we have an Hybrid circuit acting as Frecuency/ Voltage converter and Voltage/Frecuency converter.

We generate a 0,5 Amps signal, obtaining 10 kHzs at the output, and 0,005 Amps for 1 kHz.

On the other hand, a signal of 10 kHz at the input will generate a DC signal at the output of 4,5 V; 1 kHz for 50 mV.

As you can see our range of frecuencies is from 1 kHz to 10 kHz. Its a Square wave form from 0,950 V to 8,5V.

Hi Alejandro,

I am unable to provide simulation support in LTSpice due to the license agreement. I am unable to use and install LTSpice simulator in my laptop due to our IT regulation.

The previous replied thread is uploaded by outside user (non-TI user), which it was acceptable.

I suggested to modify the LTSpice for your requirements. LM331 is the legacy F-V and V-F products. Alternatively, you may test the configuration on a breadboard.
