AMC1301EVM: AMC1301EVM use buffer opamp at Input

Part Number: AMC1301EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AMC1301

Hi I am using the AMC1301 for high voltage side voltage measurement.

Even though i have scaled down my voltage levels to 3V level from 400V through resistor divider.

Do i need input buffer opamp to input of pin 2 for this IC for voltage measurement.

Also may i know input impedance value of input pins

  • Hi Sagar,

You shouldn't need the the input buffer opamp.  Is there a reason you scaled down the voltage to 3V instead of the +-250mV range of the device?  3V is much higher that the full-scale range of the device and you will likely see either full scale output or fail-safe output if your input signal is always in that range.

Also may i know input impedance value of input pins

    Thanks

  •  Sorry actually its +200mV input.

Thank you so much for your inputs.
