Hello

I bought a OPA2227UA/2K5 and I have problem with it. I want to know my part is real or fake.

I found a document that shows TI logo changed to TI letter on IC marking

But the part I bought has not even TI letter on it.

Also I have TL072IDR and it is not in the PDF I attached but it has not TI logo and has just TI letter. How can I know which one is fake and which one is real?

Did you buy them from an authorized distributor?

PCN# 20230306000.1 and PCN# 20220615003.1 introduced new fab sites. Chips from those sites are entirely new, so their marking style is not considered a change.

Hi Patrick,

Agreed with Clemens - if they are from an authorized distributor, they are likely real TI devices.

Can you describe more about the problem? Do you have a problem with both 2227 and TL072?

Yes I bought these parts from Digikey and the last time I bought, I could see TI logo on the package but this time I can not see the logo and I am afraid that it is fake or not. Can you show me somewhere that I can follow to see what should I see on the IC package

The datasheet tells you that you should see "OPA 2227U A"; there is no guarantee for there to be any logo.

Anyway, devices from DigiKey are real.

Agreed with Clemens. The datasheet lists what is expected on the device marking. Whether or not there is a TI logo on the package should not be used as any indicator of counterfeit material. Digikey is an authorized distributor, so you can be confident this is a TI device.
