Hi I'm trying to simulate the OPA818 and compare to some ADI Opamps to see which is the best fit for my application. As there are o easily downloadable Pspice models I tried to open in Tina with the plan to export to Pspice. However it opens in Tina as a netlist so as the model looks Spice-like I tried cutting and pasting but PSpice doesn't like the model. Can someone please let me have a Pspice model for this part? If this is too much to ask then I guess I'll use the ADI part because I can easily simulate and predict performance. Also why do all of the resistors modeled (eg R137 thro R164) carry the "noiseless" flag ? Seems like it's defeating the purpose of simulating the part. Thanks
Hi Steve,
A PSpice circuit containing OPA818 model can be downloaded from this link: https://www.ti.com/product/OPA818#design-tools-simulation (Design & Development tab of the device product folder). This circuit contains our most up to date OPA818 model. The noiseless tag revolves around the way the model is designed as we do not use transistor level models. We are not actually using the resistors in the netlist to simulate the noise performance of the device which is why they are noiseless.
Best Regards,
Ignacio
Hi Ignatio. The first two are Tina so won't run on anything else, the third is called PSpice but is a schematic and a whole load of files. all I'm looking for is a simple text sub-circuit file ie a .SUB or a .CIR file. These used to be available on the TI website but are increasingly more difficult to get. So if you can cut and past one here that would be great. thanks
Thanks Ignatio, that works perfectly in LTSpice so now I can really evaluate and compare performance.
