Input voltages are within the limit, even lower than the maximum allowable
When we lost VDD Opamp was still operational and works without VDD
Can you please suggest what happened when Vdd is not connected? Does the IC powered through inputs?

Yes, a current flows into the input, through the clamping diode, and into VDD. This current charges the decoupling capacitor and can power up the amplifier (or any other device connected to VDD).
If the current is not limited to less than 10 mA, it can damage the device. (And if the voltage is too large, VDD might become too large.)
