Hello Herbert,
"33M" and "98K" are the date code and assembly site. YMS
33 = year ending in 3 (2023, or possibly 2013 or 2003) and third month (March)
98 = 2019 August
M = Mexico assembly site.
The "33M" AJ4D datecode is a valid datecode for a LM293DR.
*EDITED* See following post...
Hello Herbert,
I miss-read the marking. It is actually 9B - which is a valid datecode.
9BK = 2019 November from the Malacca assembly site using the "classic" Ji1 die.
33M = 2023 March from Mexico assembly site using the "new" Ji3 die.
The LM393 family is under PCN to change the die - you may be detecting a difference between the dies.
