Tool/software:

USB2ANY adapter isn't getting detected in FUSION TI software despite me being downloading the required firmware using USB2ANY explorer. I need USB2 ANY to be detected and identify the PMBUS and I2C bus devices on the board just like USB2GPIO2 adapter is detecting. Is that possible? If Yes how do I do it?

This is the amplifiers forum, which is the default collector for all USB2ANY-related questions - but the amplifiers team doesn't actually support this product. Your question got sent to me because the amplifiers team knows I know some things about USB2ANY software, but I'm from clocks and timing (we just happen to use USB2ANY a lot) and I don't know about FUSION software specific bugs or issues with USB2ANY. Let me find someone from the digital power group to take a look at this question. I apologize for the delay.

Hi Harsha,

What product are you using? If you are using the Fusion Digital Power Studio (https://www.ti.com/tool/FUSION-DIGITAL-POWER-STUDIO) and the UCD3138x Devices (https://www.ti.com/technologies/digital-power.html), then you need to use the USB-to-GPIO2 adapter (https://www.ti.com/tool/USB-TO-GPIO2). The USB-to-GPIO2 adapter is the recommended adapter to use with the Fusion Digital Power Studio GUI.

Hi Jonathan,

Thanks for reaching out to answer my query. I am using UCD90160A power sequencer,TPSM8D6C24 in the custom board that we have designed in house. I didn't have any problem detecting the ICs using USB2GPIO adapter via PM bus communication. But while I was connecting USB2ANY the adapter, it isn't getting detected in FUSION(Not the scenario of devices not found but rather Adapter not found).So, I have loaded the required firmware as suggested using USB2ANY explorer software and booted the USB2ANY EVM. Despite that being done FUSION is still unable to detect the adapter mode of USB2ANY.

Fusion GUI only supports USB-2-GPIO(https://www.ti.com/tool/USB-TO-GPIO2?keyMatch=usb-to-gpio2) and please use this dongle.

Hello Yihe,

Thank You. So, I happen to buy an USB2ANY dongle for further use cases. How do I qualify the product I mean if its functional or not after the product purchase given that I don't have any EVM board that supports USB2ANY dongle. Does USB2ANY explorer firmware upload suffice?

I can not comment USB2ANY since we do not support it.

You have to use USB-2-GPIO to work with Fusin GUI.
