Tool/software:

A voltage monitoring circuit is designed to monitor 300V output from the PSFB converter. We set 1.7V as threshold at isolation amplifier (AMC1311BDWVR) to monitor the maximum voltage of 300V. We got a maximum output voltage of 2.33V at OUTP and 0.542V at OUTN pins of AMC1311BDWVR. We are directly connecting the OUTP and OUTN of AMC1311 to the primary microcontroller (UCD3138ARGCR) differential pins (EAP0 and EAN0)

But the maximum voltage supported by the EAP0 is 1.999V as per UCD3138ARGCR datasheet.  Please suggest any approach to reduce the voltage at OUTP such that it is supported by EAP01 pin of UCD3138ARGCR.

    Hi Pavithra,

    Why is the AMC output being measured twice (once differentially directly from the output, and one after a differential to single ended conversion)?

    A few ways to reduce the output voltage would be:

    1. Reduce the shunt value so that the output at max voltage doesn't exceed 1.99V on the OUTX pins.  The downside of this is that you wouldn't be using the full scale range of the device.
    2. Put a voltage divider from the OUTX pins to the EAX0 inputs.
    3. Put a differential amplifier in-between the OUTX and EAX0 pins that scales down the voltage.
