Hi experts,

My customer is using AMC1301 to measure 4~50mA DC current. SCH is attached. Please kindly give a review. Another small question, if the measured current is DC, is output amplifier TLV9002 needed?

Hi Victoria,

Who is your customer and what is their system/application?

The amplifier is needed if the customer wants to convert the output from differential to single ended. You can take a look at this document for more information on the conversion.

Thanks for reply. Here is another question: the measured current is DC, is the channel 1 of TLV9002 needed? Is it okay only use 1 channel amp to converter differential to single end?

Hi Victoria,

They are using the first channel to create a bias point for their single ended conversion. Without the first amp, they would need another source to generate the bias. I'm not sure where their single ended output is going and what their measurement requirements are, but they could also just use one of the output pins to measure. This app note goes over the single ended conversion in more detail.
