Hello Hang,

So is the input current and you want a current output.  Our current sense amplifiers  are mostly mean for higher currents and our lower current devices are normally slower as they are meant for accuracy.  

I am not familiar with a Faraday Cup and what is expected at the output.  So I do not know the tradeoffs 

If you just need to amplify a voltage signal that has limited output current  then you can look at our amplifiers with low input bias current and has high speed.  Time Latency is normally relative as any signal amplification will have some bandwidth limitations.  Also accuracy could be limited depending on your requirements.

If the output is current then normally we run current through a resistor and then amplify the voltage.  This would still require and amplifier like above with the same limitations.

Thank you for the response. The output of Faraday Cup is current (1-2 nA), and our oscilloscope can detect current or voltage down to 1mA or 1mV.

Our purpose is to measure the start/end time of the Faraday Cup signal, so we do not need accuracy, just no time delay.

Or the OPA928 which is a newer device similar to the LMP7721
