INA237: what action will INA237 do when the shunt IN+ disconnector

Part Number: INA237

Tool/software:

resently,we encount a enginering issue,INA237 show 0W with a heavy loading system,we suspect that the shunt differential signal IN+ IN-  layer change via disconnect in the board, later this has been confirmed,I want to kown the detail mechanism of IN237 when IN+=floating, and IN-=+Vin?

  • Thank you for the question and using the E2E forum.

  • Hello,

When only one of the two input pins is left floating, the potential of the floating pin will drift to the same potential as the other pin, so in this case IN+ and IN- would both be at +Vin, leaving you with a differential volage of 0V, which is why you are seeing 0W.
