OPA2863-Q1: Ampilifier

  Thank you for the spec list. I do not recommend using a regular VFB amplifier as a comparator, since our amplifiers can have diodes between the inverting and non-inverting pins internal to the amplifier. Usually, this is specified at 1-2V absolute max differential spec. If a differential voltage greater than the abs max is seen at the inputs of the amplifier, this will destroy the internal diodes, and thus create a short and destroy the amplifier.

   TI offers dedicated comparators which do not face this issue, and are meant for these types of applications. Our comparator team have been coming out with higher speed automotive comparator options the past year, I will forward this thread to that team, and they will get back to you shortly with their recommendations. Just to confirm, do you require the output to swing from 2V to 9V? It would be great if you could share with us your application and what you are trying to achieve such that we can better assist you.

Thank You for response, output i required is 5V. Application is automotive application. For the power supply feedback. I am looking for high speed comparator with propagation delay of 50uS to 60uS with wide range of the power supply.
