TLV521: Protection diode on IN+/- pin

Dear team,

1. Does TLV521DCKT have protection diode on IN+ to V+ and IN- to V- to protect it if the over voltage is applied to IN+/- ?

2. If yes, how much current does it accept to flow on the diodes?

    1. Yes, the absolute maximum ratings show a 0.3 V offset to the power rails, which is the forward voltage of the diodes.

    2. The absolute maximum ratings do not specify this, so in theory, it is 0 A. In practice, aim for less than 1 mA.

    Clemens is correct on both items. 

    1. To add a bit more detail, here's the absolute maximum rating he's referencing. 

    2. I'd agree that you want to aim for less than 1mA. These diodes are ESD protection diodes. They weren't designed to be clamping diodes.
