AMC3311: Internal DCDC converter switching frequency

Part Number: AMC3311

Tool/software:

Hi ,

I am using AMC3311 for one of my isolated voltage sensing circuit. I would like to understand more about the internal DC-DC converter that is being used for generating the High side power supply . It would also be great if someone could specify the switching frequency of the DCDC converter .

  • Hi Hariharan,

    Thank you for your questions.

What specifically are you looking to understand about the DC-DC converter? Section 7.3.4 describes the integrated DC/DC converter as a start.

I believe the switching frequency should be around 30MHz. What is your application? What requirements are you looking to meet?

    Best regards,

    Eva

  • Hi , Thanks for your reply.

I am using this AMC for isolated voltage sensing in one of my DC-DC converter. I would like to understand about the topology of the converter that is being used inside this AMC. The reason being, i would like to understand how the internal DCDC would affect my sensed output.

  • Hi Hariharan,

The DC/DC converter uses a spread-spectrum clock generation technique to reduce the spectral density of the electromagnetic radiation. The resonator frequency is synchronous to the operation of the ΔΣ modulator to minimize interference with data transmission and support the high analog performance of the device.

    Best regards,
