TLV1704-SEP: PSpice import into ADS

Part Number: TLV1704-SEP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TL431, TINA-TI, TLV1704

Tool/software:

Hello,

I am trying to import a PSpice model of the device into ADS from Keysight, but the circuit behavior does not look proper.
May you please support me to fix or adjust PSpice model, or maybe I am doing wrong something else?

I was able to import other TI components into ADS, for example TL431. With other SEP DC/DC converter I also had problem in the past, ADS support had to fix the model for me.

This is simple simulation I want to perform to make sure the model was imported correctly:

I expect, that when IN- (Blue) exceeds IN+(Red), output should go to the ground (Pink), but it does not happen:

During simulation I am getting these warnings:

Thank you in advance, looking forward to using your space portfolio in our satellite.

Best Regards,

MAksim

  • Hi Maksim,

It's hard for me to support an issue with ADS as that simulator is not one that we support. The TLV1704 model was created the use of PSpice or TINA-TI in mind.

I can give some tips on importing models in general:

    1. Make sure to select the correct file format (PSpice library file) when importing models.

    2. Make sure that each of the nodes of the top-level subckt correspond to the appropriate pin on the schematic symbol that you generate.

I've recreated the circuit using TINA-TI, and it seems to be working correctly there:
