INA212: INA212 application check

Part Number: INA212

Tool/software:

Hi Expert,

My customer have one new design and use INA212.

The ina212 is used to detect if its Relay has a voltage output. (L is AC supply 100 - 240V)
Relay is not controlled, INA212 has output voltage of out1(NO) output.INA212 has no output voltage and output of out1 from Relay.
Relay has control, INA212 has output voltage of out2(NC) output.INA212 no output voltage, Relay's out2 has no output.

Could you check if customer can use the INA212 to meet the function?

Schematic :

  • Hello,

Could you explain a bit more thoroughly what you are trying to do with this part? I don't understand what current will be flowing with out1 vs out2 and what you are trying to check. The INA212 will be able to detect the current flowing no matter where the current is flowing to, switching the current flow downstream of the part will not disrupt this.

It looks like the line voltage is shorted to ground through the two diodes D3 and D4, this will be more power than these diodes can safely handle.

Let me know if you have any more questions,
