TLV9062: Recommended power supply capacitor

Part Number: TLV9062

Tool/software:

Hi Experts,

This is Skylar responsible for GREE. GREE wonders  if the power supply is 3.3V, what value do you recommend for power supply capacitor? Thanks.

BR,

Skylar

  • A low inductance (i.e., short traces and a small package) is more important than a specific value. You'd typically use 100 nF.

  • Hi Skylar,

    I agree with Clemens!

I'll also add that you will want to make sure you take into consideration the voltage rating of the capacitor. While you have many options when running at a 3.3V supply, you should also take a look at the derating graph that some of the capacitor manufactures include. A 100nF ceramic capacitor rated for a 5V supply might not have 100nF capacitance at 3.3V but maybe even lower.

    Best Regards,
