LMC6035: LMC6035

Part Number: LMC6035

Tool/software:

Electrical Test Init (U3D-)

  • Encounter 4 units that failed Electrical Test Init (U3D-) during functional test. Measurement of the U3D- voltage is out of spec

Unit

Serial Number

Test Results (Lower spec = -2.550V, Upper Spec= -2.850V)

#1

240815021

Failed ElectricalTestInit: -1.701 V

#2

240815022

Failed ElectricalTestInit: -2.502 V

#4

240815024

              Failed ElectricalTestInit: -2.532 V

#8

240815028

              Failed ElectricalTestInit: -2.077 V

  • Based on schematics, the U3D- voltage is related to BGA (IC1)
  • No abnormality observed on the BGA (IC1) solder during 2DX scan
  • Visual inspect observed no damage component
  • After replace with new BGA (IC1), the units able to pass the Electrical Test consistently.

Attached schematics snippet that shows the input supply voltage (U3D+ and U3D-) to the B1 and B3 pins of component IC1.

FYI, the VOUT measurement from IC53 and IC11 were within spec.

As mentioned to Naphat in mail conversation, the -V input supply voltage (U3D-) is out of spec and highly suspected is due to the +0.8Vdc leakage from component IC1.

Let us know what information that you need to help us further analysis of this defect samples?

  • Hello Muhammad,

    Thank you for your question.

It looks there isn't a link for me to view the schematic snippets you're referring to. Could you include those schematic images directly in your reply, or paste the google drive link?

    Best Regards,

    Alex Curtis
