TLV1805-Q1: input capacitances and input resistances

Part Number: TLV1805-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV1805

Tool/software:

Hi Comparators team,

Do you have a Spice circuit to find Cin for each input, Input differential resistance, and input common-mode resistance? Can a method like https://www.ti.com/lit/ta/ssztbi1/ssztbi1.pdf be used?

Thanks!

  • Hi Stephanie,

That method will not work in extracting the input capacitances. We don't model differential-mode and common-mode input impedances for our comparators as those characteristics are not specified on the EC table. The comparator models provided on TI.com are created with DC and transient simulations in mind and will not work with AC sweeps.

Internal to the TLV1805 model, there are 0.5pF connected to V- and 0.5pF connected to V+ for each input. These values are just approximations to model parasitic capacitances from input ESD diodes.
