Tool/software:

We are looking at a COTS product that uses the THS4552.  The product would be used in Low Earth Orbit (LEO).  TI does not rate the THS4552 as space qualified.  Is the THS4552 similar to a space qualified part?  If so, I would consider having the radiation tolerance of the THS4552 measured.

    Hello Rich,

      That is correct, THS4552 is catalog, and not space qualified. Do you need a dual channel FDA? 

       We recently space qualified the LMH5485-SP and LMH5485-SEP (space enhanced). Out of our space qualified fully differential amplifier portfolio, this device would be most similar to THS4552.

    SEP rating is more suited for low earth orbit applications and cost optimized versus the full space rating. Here is a technical article addressing how our space enhanced products are directed towards LEO applications.
