Tool/software:
Hi,
I looking for VCA2617, dual channel VGA amplifier, differential input and differential output. Datasheet gives a slew rate value of 100V/us.
Let´s suppose I have a 0.743Vp 20MHz sine wave in OUT+ pin and the same but inverted signal in OUT- pin. The differential signal, OUT+ - OUT- would be 1.487Vp 20MHz sine wave. So, the slop of a sine wave is calculated by SR=2Πf·Vp.
Question: which is the Vp I should consider to calculate the slew rate? Should it be the amplitude of the signal in each of the OUT pin (0.743V)? or the amplitude of the result OUT+ - OUT- (1.487V)?
In the first case, SR = SR=2Π·20MHz·0.743V = 93.36V/us < 100V/us
In the second case, SR = SR=2Π·20MHz·1.487V = 186.86V/us > 100V/us.
I think that each of the signals in OUT+ and OUT- are 'real' waves. However, OUT+ - OUT- is a 'mathematical' wave, so I think SR calculation should take 0.743Vp.
Is it correct? If not, please explain me.
Thank you in advance.
