LMV7239: How will the part perform at -45C?

I have an application where the low temperature is required to be -45C. This part is only rated for -40C. How will the part perform at -45C?

    Hello Perry,

    We cannot officially comment on how a device will perform when outside the specified operating range. Operation is only warranted within the specified operating range (-40 to 85C).

    Operating outside of the specified range is at your own risk. Officially we have to say that it may not work or meet datasheet specs.

    My personal thought is that it should work, as this is a bipolar, standard power device (and bipolars like cold and are not running current starved), so as long as you are not pushing any of the specs (like speed or output drive) it should be okay (but you may still have failures...so test the application thoroughly!). It's your call...

    You may wish to look at an extended temp device, such as the TLV3603E, which has the extended temp range down to -55.
