Related to above issue:

Could you please provide an update on this? The customer experienced this issue again yesterday, and their production line is currently stopped. They have 700 assembled boards with this component that need to be reworked due to failures in ICT. In parallel, they are reviewing the raw material in storage and have found 17,460 ($$6,564) pieces with the same silkscreen (the one causing the failure). This is causing significant delays, and They urgently need a resolution to avoid further disruptions. Please review and advise.

Thanks,

Rowena

  • PCN 20221216011.1 introduced an entirely new die. The guaranteed datasheet limits have not changed, but it is possible that the ICT relies on characteristics that are outside of these limits.

The questions asked in the original question have not been answered. (It might be helpful for a customer's representative that knows about the technical details of the ICT to post here.) Without further information, all than can be said is that it is likely that the new devices will work fine in the actual application, and that the ICT should be changed to adjust for the changed characteristics.

  • Hello Rowena,

ICT often use open loop VOL and VOH to determine that op amp is functional and connected.

There is no maximum VOH in data sheet. The ICT needs limits that include positive supply voltage plus a little margin

below is data sheet 5V , VOH

  • Hi Ron,

I forwarded it to sales/customer, I will let you know once I hear from them.

    Thanks,
