Hi Team,

Our customer is looking for an SMA connector that will fit the 551012922-001 evaluation board. Does the 142-0711-821 or 901-144-8RFX connectors will fit on the board? What is the thickness of the board?

    HI Danilo,

    This is a legacy evaluation board developed by National Semiconductor in 2007 and therefore information is limited...

    Reviewing the legacy manufacturing files, the legacy engineering documentation does not provide a BOM to suggest a part number for the SMA connector.

    However, this is a standard FR4 2 layer PCB board. The PCB thickness of a standard PCB board is around 0.062 inch. The "Fab Notes" pdf file for the 551012922-001 evaluation board specifies a PCB thickness as 0.063 ± 0.007 inch,

    The SMA 142-0711-821 connector specifies a board thickness of 0.062, so I believe this one should fit.

    Looking at the SMA connector 901-144-8RFX, this one has a different footprint, and will not fit.

    Please find attached the manufacturing pdf files for the 551012922-001 evaluation board.
