LF353: new part parameter change?

Part Number: LF353

Tool/software:

We currently use the LF353DR operational amplifier for amplifying differential signals. We have tested the differential signal input at 0.127V and amplified it by 1.8 times. The calculated single ended signal should be 0.2286V, but the actual measured output is 0.251V. The magnification factor is about 2. After replacing the LF353DR purchased 22 years ago. The magnification is normal. May I ask if there are any process updates after 2022 that may cause changes in certain parameters?

  • PCNs 20220615003.1 and 20230627002.1 introduced an entirely new die, but the guaranteed datasheet limits have not changed. It is likely that your circuit relies on some characteristic that goes beyond these limits. Please show the schematic.

  • HI Zhang,

How many devices show this issue?

Can you please provide a complete schematic showing the output load components, and supply connections/supply bypass capacitors, feedback components and input connections? What is the input common-mode voltage of the differential 0.127V signal?  As Clemens has mentioned, it is possible that the circuit design is marginally stable and/or exceeds one of the data sheet limits.

    Thank you and Regards,

    Luis
