OPA192: Pspice - Temperature Analysis error

Part Number: OPA192

Tool/software:

Hi,

the Temperature Analysis for the shared circuit is resulting in 50% deviation for change in temperature.

for Resistors, TC1 = 0.02, and TC2 = 0.0045

kindly share, what could be the issue and how to resolve.

attached circuit and result files.

Pspice for TI version

  • Hi Abdul,

the Temperature Analysis for the shared circuit is resulting in 50% deviation for change in temperature.

In our OPA192's behavior model, the temperature behavior simulation is limited. I recalled that the Spice model is to simulate a discrete temperature behavior, shown in Vos specifically, but not implemented in continuous temperature or dynamic Temp change or sweep in the model. And the temperature behavior is only applicable to Vos as shown in the comment section.

If you have additional questions, please let me know.

    Best,

    Raymond

  • Hi Reymond,

    Thanks.

Could you suggest other Op-AMP which can be use for temperature analysis.

Another issue with normal Simulation is Initial peak in output, is this due to settings in Pspice for Ti

  • Hi Abdul,

Could you suggest other Op-AMP which can be use for temperature analysis.

Our op amps Spice behaviors are only modeled the specific and static temperature behaviors, not dynamic including temperature sweep behaviors. For instance, the dynamic Vos behavior is linearized shown in the table below in OPA192.

Another issue with normal Simulation is Initial peak in output, is this due to settings in Pspice for Ti

You need to simulate the steady state behavior, not the transient behavior. The transient behavior may vary from model to model. In other words, you can simulate from 2-10usec rather than 0-10usec. The transient behavior in the Spice model may not reflect in an actual op amp.

If you have other questions, please let me know.

    Raymond
