Tool/software:
Hi Experts,
Customer is looking for a device to measure earth-to-neutral voltage (max: 5V, AC), this will go to his ESP32 MCU.
Found the chip: AMC0330S-Q1
Can you confirm if this will be feasible on this design? Also, what value of resistors to use in the input for the expected range of signal to measure?
Regards,
Archie A.
Hi Archie,
This device should be fine, but what domain is their MCU located that will measure the output voltage?
This document can assist with resistor divider design: https://www.ti.com/lit/an/sbaa321/sbaa321.pdf
They may need to be mindful of the expected EMC testing when sizing the resistors.
Thank you for your support. My application is EV charger. I would like to measure the voltage between earth and neutral. Range will be 0v to 5V. If sensed voltage is more than 3V/5V , my 3.3V mcu will stop the system.
Hi Sandeep,
Is this for insulation monitoring to ensure the system is properly earthed?
If so this design may help: https://www.ti.com/tool/TIDA-010232
Hi Thanks for your reply. I will measure the voltage between the earth to neutral by using multimeter(one probe on earth and another probe on neutral).Sensed value should to mcu.this is my requirement
