THS6053: Is there a SPICE model for this line driver amplifier?

Part Number: THS6053
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: THS6301, THS6302, TINA-TI

Tool/software:

The THS6053 line driver Pspice model exists according to https://www.ti.com/packaged_lits/pspice_files/ti_pspice_models_index.txt

Cannot find the download link.

  • Hello Simon,

Allow me to work on this support for you.  May I ask, do you need assistance choosing the right line driver for your project?  We do have two newer ICs for DSL: THS6301 and THS6302.  I have experience reworking line impedance and transformer turns ratios to have these G.Fast/G.mgFast DSL drivers work with VDSL and ADSL.

I will check on the model for you.

    Best,

    Alec

  • Thank you Alec!  We have an older design using the THS6053 already deployed that I need to simulate what it will do in different situations.

  • Hello Simon,

I am glad to help.  Two questions for you:

    1. Would you prefer a TINA-TI model or PSPICE model?  I am attaching both for now:

    ths6053-TINA.zip

    ths6053-PSPICE.zip

    2. Would you like assistance with a redesign-plan or review of the circuit for THS6301/2?  I know the existing project may be okay with THS6053.  If you would like a review or schematic/specifications help in the future, I am available to help at a future time as well.

Thank you for reaching out for support Simon.  We are glad to help as you progress in your design.

    Best,

    Alec

  • PSPICE, thank you!  We have specific gain and HPF on the external Rs and C, so the 6301/2 won't work for this.  It is actually going to be replaced entirely in the near future with a different amplifier.

  • Hello Simon,

    You are welcome!

If you need consultation on finding a good next-generation amplifier, we do have good choices in our portfolio for line drivers, fully-differential amplifiers, and dual current-feedback op-amps.  I would be happy to help review data or active filter design if you have interest.

    Best,

    Alec
