THS7530: THS7530 Reference Design Pin Labels

Part Number: THS7530
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI

Tool/software:

To whom it may concern,

I've been playing with the TINA TI reference design for the THS7530 and would just like to confirm that I have the pins correct?  See the image with the schematic and my own "handwritten" labels (namely the VOCM and VG- pins if I understand them correctly).  Thanks,

Sojhal

  • Hello Sojhal,

I have checked the SPICE model for you in TINA, the pin with VS1 = 2V attached is the VG+ pin, the gain-setting pin.  VG- is recommended to be tied to VS-, so the model makes this assumption and does not allow the user to set VG- in SPICE simulation.  VG- = VS-, and the pin with 2V potential is VG+ (pin 5 on THS7530 IC, but pin '8' in TINA SPICE).

The VOCM pin is correctly labelled, this pin corresponds to pin 12 on the THS7530 IC package, which is pin '7' in TINA SPICE.

I also want to teach a way to check pin names to you: 'right click' on the IC model (THS7530), click the 'Enter Macro' option, and then scroll down until you see the SPICE model show the pinout of the modelled device.  I am pasting a image below:

The red circle shows the connections and pinout; the blue circle shows you how to exit this view and return to your TINA-TI simulation.

Thank you Sojhal, I hope this helps you and your design.

    Best,

    Alec
