LM6172: LM6172IM

Part Number: LM6172

Tool/software:

I am looking for radiation testing data.  We need to verify if it meets our requirements for LEO.  Looking for TID and ELDRS data. This is a 5-year mission life.

Thank you

  • Hello Paul,

Thank you for reaching out. LM6172QML-SP is a fully space qualified part up to 100kRad and 300kRad. This will satisfy LEO applications (up to 30-50kRad).

ELDRS-free version of the LM6172 (LM6172AMGWRLQV, 5962R9560403VXA) that is rated to 100 krad(Si). We also have a version of the LM6172 (LM6172AMGWFLQV, 5962F9560402VXA) that is rated to 300 krad(Si) at high dose rate. The ELDRS-free version is only being qualified 100 krad(Si) since it takes over 1 year to qualify a product to 300 krad(Si) at low dose rate. The ELDRS-free part was actually tested to 200 krad(Si) before the testing was stopped. The part passed up to 200 krad(Si) but the standard radiation levels in MIL-PRF-38535 are 100 and 300 krad(Si), with no interim level at 200 krad(Si). The testing through 200 krad(Si) is presented here." The LM6172AMGWFQMLV falls under parts rated to 300 krad(Si) at high dose rate.
