LM2903: LM2903PWLERCT replaced with LM2903BQPWRQ1

Part Number: LM2903
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM339

Tool/software:

Vitesco has ordered the LM2903PWLERCT need help with understanding the changes to the replacement part.

There is a PTN on part# LM2903SPWRCT/LM2903PWLERCT and if we are not mistaken the replacement is suppose to be LM2903BQPWRQ1.

We are in need of information about the changes and since i can not find the "old" data sheet, we need some help.

We are in need if the replacement is a 100% electrically and mechanically replacement to the old part. if not what are the changes.

Thank you for the support

  • Hello Kristina

The LM2903SPWRCT is a custom part number - so we really cannot discuss it on the public forum.

Please see the LM339 family appnote about the differences in the PCN devices:

Application Design Guidelines for LM339, LM393, TL331 Family Comparators

When operated within the datasheet specifications, they are electrically identical.

When operated outside of the datasheet specifications (like exceeding input ranges), there can be differences (outlined in the note).

Since this is custom, I will need to ask others as to the status.

The "B" is tested to tighter specifications (offset), but the "B" and non-B devices will become the same die and process (TiB with Clamp) within a year or two.
