RES60A-Q1: Lifetime definiton and lifetime accuracy test method?

Part Number: RES60A-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi team,

Could you share how you characterized lifetime accuracy? Do you expect its lifetime is just 10-years? Anothed shows lifetime definition but I would like to know more detail.

  • Hi Ochi-san,

Could you share how you characterized lifetime accuracy?

Please see the attach the presentation. The lifetime accuracy can be calculated statistically based on the accelerated data.

Do you expect its lifetime is just 10-years?

I mentioned that the lifetime is 10 year or more, not just 10 years. Most of TI's long term estimation and analysis are based on 10 years. I am notifying Jon and see if he has different insight. It does not mean that the ratiometeric thin film resistor product will stop working after 10 years.

If you have other questions, please let me know.

    Raymond

  • Hi Ochi-san,

Agreed with Raymond. We perform accelerated aging tests and simulations with a 10-year minimum operating lifetime, as this is pretty standard for TI, but the device will typically last much longer than this.

We will also be doing bench measurements as part of our product validation, using our precision long-term drift setup to empirically measure drift over a 1000-hour interval and verify it aligns with the spec. Those results will be included in the RTM datasheet.

    Cheers,

    Jon
