AFE031: Network with Full-Duplex in DC Power Line

Hi,

Can you tell me if the AFE031 core has enough requirements and the ability to perform, in PLC (Power Line Communication), a FULL-DUPLEX communication in DC line?

This to a network with a master and several slaves. The DC line would be around 3v to 5v.

The exact frequency band isn't fixed yet, but it should align with common PLC communication bands (like CENELEC A/B, FCC, or ARIB).

Hello Rafael,

The AFE031 can either transmit or receive, but the IC cannot do both at the same time. The AFE031 is place into either TX or RX by the connected microcontroller. This would be a half-duplex communication line.

Full-duplex PLC is not as common; the G3 standard is bidirectional but implemented as half-duplex.
