TPA3255EVM: Passive preamp

Hi,

Have you seen this module, as configured with the op amp input buffer on the EVM used with a passive preamp section (no gain)? That is how my stepped attenuator will be implemented, not sure if i was clear on that.

Do the TPA3255 chip amplifiers with op amp buffer, as configured on the EVM, need gain on the preamp side to achieve a reasonable output gain produced at the speaker outputs?
