OPA548: KC layot

Part Number: OPA548

Tool/software:

Hello,

I don't understand how the OPA548-1 with KC package where the pins are all aligned can fit the proposed footprint were the holes are ordered in two different rows.

Do we have to bend the pins of the component? Does it exists any tool to perform this operation?

Thank you very much in advance,

  • That is the footprint of the KVT package.

The KC package has 0.5 mm gaps between pins, which is not usable in the shipped state. Apparently, the KC package is for customers that want to do custom bending, and know how to do this.

  • The footprint that I have shown in the previous message is the one that TI propose for the KC package. For the KVT they propose similar one but with some differences.

Here is what TI shows for KVT in the web page:

And this is what TI shows for KC package:

But, anyway, what I was trying to know was if it was necessary for OPA548-1 (KC package) to bend its pins before mounting and how to do it. From your answer I suppose that it is not an easy to perform operation and I think that it would be better for us to change to the KVT package version instead.

Thank you very much for your answer and best regards,
