INA296A: REF pin impedance/resistance

Part Number: INA296A

Tool/software:

I want to use the internal REF resistors to divide an external reference voltage as I expect the ratio to be very precise. Because my reference voltage can only source a small amount of current I need to know the minimum resistance values og the internal REF resistors.

What are the resistance values and are they different for different gain solutions (I intent to use the INA296A5)?

  • Hello Thomas,

The REF pins requires about 20µA and changes about 15µA with changes in the Vdiff voltage.  This is why we recommend a buffer for this or measure it differentially with respect to the the REF pin.

If you can drive about 100µA with no changes in voltage then I believe you will not have an issues.

    Regards,
