LMH6702: amplification ratio to 1/10(Av)?

Part Number: LMH6702
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: THS4304, OPA695, , LMH6703

Tool/software:

What would be a suitable opamp to use to reduce the amplification ratio to 1/10(Av)?

I want change Input(Vp-p: 1.0V) -->Output( Vp-p: 150mV).

  • Hello Rice,

Our unity-gain stable voltage feedback amplifiers are capable of attenuation (gains lower than 1V/V)

Do you have any other design requirements such as:

    1. Voltage supplies
    2. Bandwidth
    3. Loading/driving capabilities
    4. Application type: determine if need FET or bipolar input. FET input will have less current noise/bias current while bipolar will have less offset voltage. This is important if resistor values need to be high for impedance/loading or power dissipation.

    Thank you,

    Sima

  • 1. +5~ -5 Volt

    2. BW : 1.5GHz

    3. 10mA < driving

    4. unipolar  input - unipolar output / offset 1.17V Vamp=120mV

  • Hello Rice,

I apologize for the long delay here.

If you first requirement on supplies is flexible. I would recommend THS4304 which will be capable of 1/10 attenuation + your 2,3,4 requirement.

Otherwise, another option would be to divide down your signal prior, then use a current-feedback amplifier such as the one linked LMH6702, LMH6703 or OPA695  at unity gain.

    Thank you,
    Sima
