TLV3011: Additional information

Part Number: TLV3011

Tool/software:

Hi,

I would like information about the Input Voltage Range that can be supported when the comparator is not supplied (Vcc=0V).
I also want to know what Input Leakage Current we have when the comparator is not supplied (Vcc=0V) and with an  input voltage between 0 - 3.6V.

Thanks a lot,
Best regards,

Vincent DE SOUSA

  • Hi Vincent,

For the TLV3011 (Non-B Version), the inputs are clamped to the supply pins such that the allowable input voltage range is -0.2V to 0.2V (if V+ = 0V):

An input voltage of 0V to 3.6V while the TLV3011 is unpowered is not a valid condition as it exceeds the Absolute Maximum Ratings of the device. The ESD diodes from the input to V+ would be forward biased and a large current will conduct from input to V+ which may cause damage to the device.

If you expect the inputs to be active while the device remains unpowered, you will need to use the TLV3011B which has fail-safe inputs such that the input can be 0V to 5.5V while the device is unpowered:

Unfortunately, I don't have any data on the input leakage current while the device is unpowered to share.
