THS3001: THS3001HV oscillates at higher temperatures

Part Number: THS3001

Tool/software:

Hi we are using the THS3001HV but we are seeing that when the device gets warmer some parts oscillate eg when driven with a 20nS 6V pk-pk square wave. Is this a known problem? Other than improved cooling do you have any recommended mitigation suggestions? example a technician tried adding a series RC snubber circuit between output and ground which helps but may have negative impact on settling time and power dissipation.

  • Hi Steve,

I cannot remember hearing about this device oscillating directly due to die temperature. For being a relatively small output signal for this high voltage device, I am surprised you are seeing issues due to that. Could you share a schematic and the load conditions for the circuit?

    Best Regards,
